(Here’s Unique looking fab in a tie and dye orange and white summer dress. Her leather foot wear and African inspired neck piece added a touch to her great look. Did I add that she’s good with the camera too...)
It was a fabulous week and it was about to get better as Unique and I packed up our stuff and headed to the Abuja fashion week in the lovely capital of Nigeria. Lodged at the Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja and later seated at the Transcorp Hilton hall waiting to see the dazzling designs off the runway, there was no mistake to the fact that the Abuja fashionistas have a distinct and unique sense of style. I had so much fun and even got glammed up by the BM/Pro (Banke Meshida brand) during the event, it was fun and they did a really good job.
Baileys was at the event and we had a taste of fine Irish cream (twas tipsy lol).
(Me…smiling and flashing teeth…I’m camera shy ooo)
Designers like Casa de Moda, Add-ons accessories, Sidi Bespoke and many other fabulous designers from the Abuja front had so many beautiful wears to showcase. Pace setters like the amiable Lanre Da Silva, Mai Atafo and Iconic Invanity ended the show with great aplomb. From lighting, to camera shots and media attendance, the Abuja fashion week was well planned and so much fun for all who attended.
(A model on a designer’s piece…nice!)
Three days passed too quickly, soon it was time to leave and now, days after the Abuja fashion week, there’s still a nostalgic feel as we can’t shake of the dust of what we’d experienced.
